The Road to the Snow Capped Mountains of Wasdale Head

A view of the mountains of Wasdale Head in the Lake District National Park. There are two roads to Wasdale and Wastwater lake. This is the road from the Old Post Office in Santon Bridge, through Nether Wasdale. The road rises steeply and as you round a corner at its brow you are come across this awe inspiring view showing the snow capped peaks of Yewbarrow, Great Gable, Lingmell and Scafell at the head of the Wasdale valley.
Continue along the road and you come to the shore of Wastwater lake, at times almost within touching distance of the water.
