Sunrise at the Castlerigg Stone Circle near Keswick following the first snowfall of winter. The circle is believed to have been created in around 3000BC during the Neolithic period, making it older than Stonehenge. I arrived early in the morning just after sunrise to get this image of the stones in the warm light of the morning. Many of the sheep were still sleeping !
